Refurbish M1 Abrams Hull Machining Line For Marines Expeditionary Fighting Vehicle "EFV"

In 2005, EURO won the contract to completely overhaul a massive machining line for the Marine’s new amphibious tank - Expeditionary Fighting Vehicle known as "EFV". This machine line was responsible for machining all hull bodies and turrets on every M1 Abrams tank. The pallet transfer system that shuttled the hulls to and from various machining locations had to be completely overhauled in all respects. This 2 year turn-key project required removal of the old machine foundations, engineering and construction of new foundations, installation of two large Floor-Type Ram-Type Horizontal Boring Mills and one Gantry Hi-Speed 5 Axis machining center, a 15000 gallon coolant system for chip flushing and coolant filtration to 1 micron for coolant thru spindle and wash out station with automatic flush cycles.

During the same project, EURO won another contract completely replace the existing Paint Booth line. We removed the existing paint line and foundation, redesigned and installed new foundation, installed one chemical wash booth, one prep booth, and three paint booths of the cross draft design – all booths 60' x 30' each.
